December 16th, 2016 by Liz Brown

‘Tis the season for staying up past our bedtimes. And ’twas the week for our favorite late night shows to feature some fabulous celebrity interviews and bits as well as some epic “Year in Review” segments.

Check out our picks for this week’s best late night moments:

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” – Clip of the Year

There’s an amazing team of viral video geeks on the “JKL” staff who spend their year deep diving into the interwebs to find the most wonderfully weird clips of the year. Wednesday night, Kimmel revealed the team’s picks for the best clips of the year and named a big winner:

“The Daily Show With Trevor Noah” – 2016 Year in Review

On the final new episode of 2016, Noah and “The Best F#@king News Team Ever” took a look back on a year that brought us Brexit, the Olympics, national anthem protests, and what may go down as the wildest Presidential election in American history. Relive the epic saga that was 2016 here:

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” – Air Guitar Battle With Michael Fassbender

Who knew Jimmy Fallon and Michael Fassbender were such amazingly talented fake musicians? The late night host and the star of “Assassin’s Creed” showed off some serious pantomime shredding skills on Tuesday night. And they sounded pretty good too:

“Late Night With Seth Meyers” – Mindy Kaling Explains Why Seth’s Dog Couldn’t Star on Her Show

We’ll admit it. We have a weakness for Ms. Kaling, in part because her show is featured on this really amazing streaming TV service called Hulu that you may have heard of. We also love this interview clip where she celebrates her 100th episode and explains why Seth Meyers’s dog didn’t book a major guest starring role.
