Let’s Get to it and Do Do Do It! “Doozers” Debuts on Hulu Kids!

April 25th, 2014 by Maria Gonima Hulu Communications

Today, Hulu debuts its first Original Series for Hulu Kids, “Doozers.” We’re thrilled to introduce kids and families to The Pod Squad: Spike, Molly Bolt, Flex and Daisy Wheel!

In each episode, “Doozers” encourages kids to design, create and innovate, and is inspired by the wildly popular characters from the classic Henson series, “Fraggle Rock.”

The four Doozer kids live at the edge of our world and right under our noses in the fantastical, modern and eco-friendly Doozer Creek. The series is “a way to get kids to learn about making eco-friendly choices, become more aware of their surroundings and understanding how things work,” said The Jim Henson Company’s CEO and the show’s Executive Producer Lisa Henson.

They’re green, they’re cute and they’re three inches tall, full of energy, ideas and enthusiasm. Doozers put their ideas into action and change their dreams into reality, from designing a Doozer Derby racing car to flying in a kaleidoscope of butterflies or building a giant gingerbread house.

Take a peek!

“Doozers” features a ground breaking design thinking curriculum, which is part of an overall STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) initiative. Brendan Boyle of IDEO, a design and innovation firm, consulted on this curriculum and said, “design thinking is a simple way to describe how people creatively solve problems. With ‘Doozers,’ we worked closely with the Jim Henson Company to match this concept of design thinking with the way kids play and create. You need to play to innovate, but that doesn’t come without a little bit of failure through trial and error.”

For more fun and learning with the Doozers, visit the App Store for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch and download the Doozer Creek app. With the app, players can place characters, vehicles, buildings and other elements from Doozer Creek on a blank playmat and then watch the Doozer world come to life through singing, playing, driving and more.

As the little DOERS say at the end of each episode, “We did it! It’s done. The Pod Squad had some fun. There’s nothing to it when you do do do it! Yay Pod Squad! Yay us!”

Yay, Doozers! Watch it now on Hulu Kids!

Seven episodes of “Doozers” are now available on Hulu Plus with five available on the free, ad-supported Hulu.com. New episodes will be available on the service every three weeks with holiday specials running throughout the year. Discover more at http://www.hulu.com/doozers
