Hulu now Available on the Nintendo 3DS Family

October 17th, 2013 by Eric Berman Distribution

When I was seven years old, I remember waking up on Christmas morning and ripping the wrapping paper off of a gift, unveiling Donkey Kong Country for Super Nintendo. In excitement, I jumped up and held the game high above my head. It is with that same excitement that we are proud to announce the arrival of Hulu Plus to the Nintendo 3DS family.*

We worked closely with our friends at Nintendo to build a unique app that seamlessly blends together both the Hulu and Nintendo user experience. Now, Nintendo 3DS and 2DS owners can enjoy current season TV and our vast library of commercial-free kids shows through an optimized viewing experience that takes full advantage of the systems’ dual screen option.

Users can start watching Hulu on their Wii U or Wii at home, and continue to watch with their Nintendo 3DS system outside the home. That means you could be watching last night’s episode of The Simpsons from your living room couch, and pick up wherever you left off in the episode when you are on the go with your Nintendo 3DS. Also, you can use the touch screen to browse content and pause/play/seek, while the upper screen plays your video.

With the Hulu app for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, your family can enjoy our robust offering of commercial-free children’s programming – including current hits from Nickelodeon like Spongebob Squarepants, favorites from PBS and Lionsgate Kids, and even childhood classics like Veggietales and Fraggle Rock. And when the Kids Lock parent control feature is activated, parents can feel safe as their kids use the app, as this feature permits navigation and playback only for programming offered within the Hulu Kids hub.

So, whether you’re at home or on the go**, Hulu on your Nintendo 3DS system will provide endless hours of entertainment whenever and wherever you want. Just head to the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS home screen to download and install Hulu directly onto your device. If you do not have an account, you can sign-up for a FREE 1-week trial at www.huluplus.com/3ds

We hope you enjoy the Hulu experience for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems as much as we’ve enjoyed building it. Happy watching!
