A Day in will.i.am’s Life

August 31st, 2011 by Ben Collins Editor

If you were like me until a couple of days ago, will.i.am lives in that neutral place in your heart, right next to Saltines, boat shoes, and the Indiana Pacers.

You’re not sure about rooting for a guy who seems to always be wearing a studded jacket. You’re also secretly impressed by a dude who can write one of those songs with lyrics you need to know in order to leave the house and not be taken in by the FBI for anti-American behavior.

But watch this episode of “A Day in the Life,” where Morgan Spurlock follows the Black Eyed Peas star around for 24 hours.

Not only does it reveal him as a particularly worthwhile member of society, it even explains the studded jackets in a way that will make you like him more.

I know. Seems impossible, the jacket thing. But I got over my humps and—boom boom pow—I developed this weird, overwhelming admiration for his warm and inviting character. Don’t lie—don’t phunk with my heart—you know you want to follow along with me into will.i.am’s world of unending charity.

If you have any hangups (maybe it’s the jacket), meet me halfway. Imma be watching it again. Watch it with me. I just can’t get enough.

Also, The Time (Dirty Bit). Couldn’t get that song in there as a pun without getting fired.

Enjoy the episode.
