We’ve always said our mission is to provide the world’s premium content to people when, how and where they want it. And we know that a lot of people want that content on their Android smartphones. We’ve been working hard to make that a reality, and today, we have begun our early rollout of the Hulu Plus application on Android smartphones.
With the first phase of the Android rollout, Hulu Plus is available on six phones, including the Nexus One, Nexus S, HTC Inspire 4G, Motorola Droid II, Motorola Droid X, and the Motorola Atrix. We expect to add to the number of Android smartphones and will be making additional device announcements throughout the year.
The free Hulu Plus app is available for download from Android Market, and once installed, Hulu Plus subscribers will be able to enjoy the service on the go. As always, Hulu Plus offers new subscribers one free week to try the service.

I found the statement below ludicrous. Can’t support the popular android phones and tablets but no problem supporting Kindle Fire at launch. Is it easier to support or is it just that Amazon paid for support? Come on Hulu support person, don’t make stupid excuses. This audience isn’t dumb enough to believe them.

Because Android phones and tablets each have a different set of specifications that we need to take into account, we’re only able to support a select number of them at this point in time. While I don’t have a time frame to share right now, we’ll be adding new Android devices regularly.
forget standard ‘approved’ hulu for your phone. go to xda, or google for the .apk. good to go. if they can’t get their shit together, we can just get the app ourselves. just sayin.
Where is Hulu+ for the honeycomb or ICS tablets? I’ve been waiting…. waiting … waiting…
Please add the RAZR! I had the X…I don’t understand why it would be any different.
I have both the Galaxy2 4g and the Toshiba table” thrive” had Hulu plus for my tivo and my HTC Evo since change my phone now cant get it on my new galaxy s 4g nor my thrive not updating my card until i can utilize all of the services guest i will just have to use my Slingbox
csn you please makke it available on the Samsung Galaxy s 4g? PLease please!
What the hell? Why is both the galaxy s 2 and htc Amaze not among the first android phones to have it? That is just stupid. None of the listed phones are as powerful as those two are
How the hell do you justify not having Hulu+ on the Droid Razor? I think ill give it a week until you’ve lost a longtime customer. Get your shit together, I’m not paying a monthly subscription for a sub par service that I can’t even use.
Please allow download for the Samsung Sidekick 4g. i love hulu and am so disappointed that i cannot watch on my phone.
I would subscribe to Hulu Plus if there was support for Toshiba Thrive.
You must know you would sell a large number of recurring memberships if you opened up, if other companies don’t want you to tell us which and then we can avoid them in the future.
As a HuluPlus subscriber, I would like to know why Hulu.com is blocking the Android Flash player. I do not need to wait for an app to be developed to enjoy the service I pay for. I can simply access the website directly if my flash player wasnt being blocked.
If it is a problem with licensing and deals then simply tell us the truth. Those of us that pay for the service deserve the truth behind why the Android flash player is being blocked on our Web browser.
I understand you have PR to worry about. But, telling the truth will win you more points than lying. I’m not trying to cause problems. I simply want the truth.

Add my vote for Motorola Xoom.
Hulu indeed can play on systems that support flash however they barred access to it. While hulu has shows I watch I will not pay for it until it stops giving false hope to play it on anything other than companies that give them a kick back for including their service. Want your phone to support hulu? Gonna have to wait until they cut a deal. That’s why only certain NEW phones have hulu.
I have messaged the support and you tell me its coming soon for the 4G THRILL and I check everyday and NOPE! Its been 8 months step it up!!
Any progress for ATRIX 2 app yet or a possible Eta, thanks
What a load of crap. Hulu could “support” all Android devices right now, could have for years, just by not blocking the Android Flash player. You’ve never explained why you feel the need to do that, and all you have to offer instead is this lame app with incredibly limited device support. Pathetic. It’s almost like you don’t want to have any customers.
I am disappointed with Hulu plus as well. I can write this comment with my Motorola Xoom but can’t watch a show. I have been a paying customer for several months and the quality of the service has declined.
Fuck Hulu, it is the shittiest service on the planet. They don’t provide no contents to any device i have tested except a god damn pc. Really, suck a dick.
I don’t know why sone of my favorite networks insist on using hulu as their go to online streaming site. You guys pretty much neglect the bigger Android devices, and sone how still expect me to shell out money just for hulu+ that only works on my PS3. I have aSamsung Galaxy tablet ohhh lookie Hulu doesn’t support this, and a myTouch phone (ah hulu doesn’t support this either). What am I paying for? Netflix comes pre installed with nearly all devices these days oh and NO commercials for their paying clients. Hulu+ works on only one of my devices (yet you swear up and down it will work on more whenever your development teams gets off its behind and actually do some work.) I still get commercials and yet you want me to pay for nothing. I’m cancelling my hulu+ membership its worthless if I can only use it on one device that isn’t even portzble. i hope more Android users get fed up with waiting for you and do the same. -angry glad to be rid of you customer

What is going on with Hulu plus not working on Samsung Nexus ?
I’d really like to get hulu plus on my Acer a500 tablet with android rather than my phone. I feel like if I can watch Netflix on here it isn’t that much of a stretch to get hulu on here. What’s the hold up and when can I, as a paid subscriber already, expect to be able to watch my shows? Thanks!!
Just installed Netflix on my Nextbook Next7 (Android 2.3 with Flash 11 – not bad for $129)
I’m afraid HULU has placed all its eggs in the Kindle Fire basket.
I think they really need to get it started on the Android Tablets. IE: Acer Iconia AA501

Every time I change phones I have to wait 6 months at least before there is an app available for it. I have an HTC Hero through US Cellular and there is no app available for it. I had an HTC EVO and I did have to wait at least 6 months for an app for that phone. But no matter what Netflix always has an app available and I’ve always been able to watch it on any phone I use. Why can see you guys keep up?
You advertise in the beginning of your website that your movies/TV shows can be watched on tablets, unlike plain Hulu. So I sign up for my free week to try it and THEN find out Hulu Plus does NOT work on the Motorola Xoom OR my Samsung Charge. Some free 7 days!! I’ve had it for 5 minutes and have now lost my free trial to check it out again. I guess you really don’t want customers after all, do you!?!?!?

Hoping you will have support for the HTC Evo View sometime soon- You suppor the HTC Flyer which is the identical tablet- just built with a 4g radio for sprint…. ONLY reason for a different name. So no other engineering or changes should be required….
Still waiting, after months and months for Hulu’s Development team to explain why Samsung Android devices have been systematically neglected. It can’t be for financial reason, because Samsung sells more than any other Android provider. It can’t be for coding reason, because developing for Samsung devices is no more difficult than developing for HTC or Motorola devices. It can’t be the carriers because why would all the carriers team up and block access to one group of devices while letting it exist on so many others. So please Hulu Plus developers answer this riddle – and don’t respond with the typical ‘Android fragmentation makes development slow so be patient’ because we know that is not the reason.
I saw that the incredible 2 has hulu plus. Is their any chance of it coming to the original incredible?
SAMSUNG FASCINATE PLEASE!
Hulu for Motorola razr would have been a good first choice
I would love to see this app ported for use on MIPS based processors. My cruz t103 plays video well… maybe a port for myself and others who have mips based devices?
Can you get the samsung galaxy fascinate on the list! I’ve been waiting forever and I check like everyday. I need to watch my shows without waiting 2 weeks until I go to my dads.
Any information on when a hulu plus app will be available for the Acer a500 tablet?
Thanks
Please update hulu plus for the htc evo view tablet. And do the view first. Lol
Come on Hulu! Let’s get moving on Honeycomb so I can watch Plus on my Xoom! Sheesh…

Again, we’re sorry for the frustration. We’re working hard to bring Hulu Plus to a wide variety of Android devices as soon as possible. Thanks for being patient with us in the meantime.
Is there a roll out date for android tablets??? Why introduce to phones first? *scratching head* I have this great new tablet, but can’t get your great streaming video.
Hi Dylan–
There is no set timeline yet for the Atrix 2, but we are expanding to many, many more Android devices in the coming months. Please stay tuned to http://www.hulu.com/plus/devices for further updates.
Thanks,
Brad

Got the new Atrix 2 yesterday. Started getting all my apps. Realized I forgot one, that was HULU PLUS. When I went to download it I was unable two, I see that y’all support the Atrix but not the Atrix 2. I would like to know an exact time hulu is going to release support for a new batch of android phones.
No official word on Galaxy S support just yet. We’re working on expanding Android support to more phones and tablets, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see support for the Galaxy S in the future.
Thanks,
Ryan B.

Samsung is now one of the most if not the most sold phone in the world, why worry about supporting them?? it just seems like they all say the same “we do not support at this time maybe later” for the last month and a half to two month its been no added devices on the list, really disappointed in HULU, thinking about cancel my HULU PLUS and just go with NETFLIX if they don`t get some more phones on the list soon.
The Kindle Fire with a special android OS can run HULU+ yet still nothing for the Motorola Xoom running Honeycomb? PLUS it looks like Motorola and Google will be ‘one’ in the near future so it would be nice for HULU to work on the standard tablet Android OS- Honeycomb and soon Ice Cream Sandwich.
