Watchmen and Dead Space aside, what they call "The Original Motion Comic Epic" and what I still call one of the best multimedia events/motion comics I've ever seen is Broken Saints. http://www.brokensaints.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_saints It came out in 2001 and is, even at half an hour longer than the Lord of the Rings' special editions combined, still one of the best things on the market. You can buy the dvd or watch it online for free. Sorry to break it to you guys but the motion comic scene isn’t that new.
