Fan Appreciation: More Movies

March 16th, 2009 by Rebecca Harper Editor

Our content partners reached into their vaults for today’s Fan Appreciation reveal, pulling out a handful of movie titles for Hulu. There’s something for everyone, with titles ranging from In the Line of Fire, which stars Clint Eastwood as a Secret Service agent charged to protect the president from a psychopathic assassin (John Malkovich), to Bustin’ Loose, with Richard Pryor as an ex-convict who’s forced into driving a busload of kids across the country.

You’ll also find Whit Stillman’s The Last Days of Disco, with Chloe Sevigny and Kate Beckinsale dancing away the end of an era (and a bit of Jennifer Beals and Robert Sean Leonard, too); the original The Blue Lagoon starring a teenage Brooke Shields; and the movie that made all of us wary about finding a roommate through the newspaper, Single White Female.

Meanwhile, the late great John Candy is a daft private eye searching for a kidnapper in Who’s Harry Crumb?, and Kevin Costner tries his hand as a naval officer/CIA agent in the 1987 thriller No Way Out.

For your consideration tomorrow: A lineup of Saturday morning-worthy animation. Check the Fan Appreciation page tomorrow for all the titles.

I like this “fan appreciation” thing but whoever is behind the limited/restricted access to shows is a fool. We come to this site to watch our favorite shows when we can. I for one does not like being forced to schedule my life over a t.v. show.

I find it amazing that hulu and all its great content cant adapt to other offering on other platforms IE(Iphone, boxee, media center) its amazing how your content providers are totally lacking in forward thinking when it comes to this edge you would have… but no please don’t do it id rather see other company’s take you out by offering before you … you lack appreciation to your real fans… i don’t even mind the commercials … but i will never buy the products until they let this content free to multiple platforms!

    Keep them coming. Thanks Hulu!

Perhaps hulu could show true “Fan Apprecaition” and bring back support for boxee. Your discussion board is full of others who are begging for it to be re-added. Perhaps the content provider who dislikes boxee could be excluded from playing on boxee.

    my 2 cents.
