Hulu Awards: Polls Now Open

February 26th, 2009 by Rebecca Harper Editor

For Hulu’s upcoming one-year anniversary, we’ve gone through thousands of videos to come up with some of our favorite videos currently available on hulu.com. We’ve narrowed the field down to 10 categories, recognizing everything from Family Guy and Saturday Night Live to the underappreciated shows we think deserve a second shot. Now we leave it up to youto vote for the best in each field.

You can go to the Hulu Awards spotlight page to see the contenders, watch clips and vote for your favorites. You can vote as often as you like — just click on the “vote” button underneath your pick for that particular category to cast your vote. Polls will close at 12:01 a.m. PST on Wednesday, March 11, and we’ll tally up the results then. Winners will be announced on our anniversary, March 12, when we’ll also reveal some viewer favorites on hulu.com and across the web.

Think you have a better choice for a song worthy of Rock Band, or any of the other categories? You can use the Hulu Awards discussion boards to share and discuss your top picks with the rest of the Hulu audience.

We’ve also set up a Hulu Awards widget that allows you to embed our picks directly on your web page or blog. Simply grab the embed code from the Hulu Awards page and then paste it on your site.

Stay tuned through the next few weeks for more insight into each of the Hulu Awards categories, and remember to vote often!

FYI – not all of the shows are close captioned and it should be captioned as required by ADA (American with Disablities Act).

To vote on shows that are not captioned is morally wrong.
