SAG Awards: Red Carpet Highlights

January 26th, 2009 by Rebecca Harper Editor

Hollywood was out in full force for the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, with awards given to the cast of Slumdog Millionaire and Heath Ledger for his work in Dark Knight. But to fashionistas, the real winners of the night were spotted on the red carpet. You can find red carpet highlights from our partners at E! and TV Guide on Hulu’s Red Carpet Events Spotlight page. Among the videos, E! has a play-by-play of the best moments from the red carpet — exclusively available on Hulu — including interviews with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Steve Carell and more.

Best Supporting Actress winner Kate Winslet (for The Reader) was stunning in an electric blue Narciso Rodriguez gown accented by Chopard earrings.

Among the many actresses wearing white last night, Rachel Getting Married‘s Anne Hathaway pulled it off best, wearing a white Azzaro gown accented with crystals along the neckline and waist.

And perhaps the most daring look we saw last night came courtesy of 30 Rock‘s Jane Krakowski, who also accepted the award for best ensemble in a comedy series on behalf of the 30 Rock cast. Her speech — part send-up of Tracey Morgan’s acceptance at the Golden Globes — was also fun: “An ensemble has to be better than the sum of its parts,” she said, “because some of the people here are just weirdos we picked up off the street.”

What was your favorite look of the night? You can share your thoughts in our discussion boards, or comment on our blog.
