Catch the Fall Premieres on Hulu

September 1st, 2008 by Rebecca Harper Editor

The fall television season is officially underway, with premieres from your favorite shows — and new ones, too — coming to Hulu over the next seven weeks. It all starts today with the fourth season premiere of Prison Break. In the two episodes, “Scylla” and Breaking & Entering”, Michael Scofield goes to Los Angeles to seek revenge on The Company, only to receive some unbelievable news. Meanwhile, a Homeland Security agent offers Michael and his brother, Lincoln, an offer they cannot refuse. Need to catch up on the conclusion to Season 3 before you delve into the new season? Hulu has the last few episodes, so you can uncover why Michael and Linc are in L.A.

To help you keep track of all the series debuts and season premieres coming our way, we’ve posted the Fall Premiere Lineup (www.hulu.com/fall) with a schedule and links to all the shows. Looking for a little background on a series? The list points you to recaps, sneak previews and full-length episodes from previous seasons whenever they’re available.

Though some of your favorites — series like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and 30 Rock — don’t come until later in the season, our subscription feature means you won’t miss an episode. You can subscribe to a series from our Fall Premiere Lineup page: Simply click on “Subscribe to episodes” for the shows you’re interested in, and new episodes will be added to your queue as soon as they’re made available through Hulu. If you want to be notified when new videos are placed in your queue, you can activate our once-daily Queue Updates from the Subscriptions tab within your Hulu Profile.

Stay tuned for more fall premieres this week, including Bones, which kicks off the season with two episodes — Booth and Brennan go to London! — on Thursday. And, coming soon, we’ll have the season debuts of Knight Rider, Lipstick Jungle, Chuck, Life and 30 Rock a full week before they’re broadcast on TV. You can check the Fall Premiere Lineup for the dates.

Happy watching,
Rebecca

Do any of you know when or if hulu will put on the rest of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer seasons on Hulu?

  • Kt says:

Whats with the constant buffering stoppages and Hulu? Would rather sit through another half dozen commercials that to have what I’m watching start and stop a dozen times every half hour to catch up on the buffer.

  • Sandy says:

I am new as well and I love watching the new and old shows at my convenience. How long does it take to load episodes of old shows such as Another World. Any other soaps joining the list soon?

  • renee says:

What happened to the Bones episodes? I cannot get any of them to load. Last week I watched the premiere just fine, but now when I go to load any videos, it says the video is unavailable. I am able to watch some other shows but in particular I am wanting to watch the newest Bones episode because I love that show and due to work I miss the airings. I saw that one other person was having this problem… is it just us?

  • brittany says:

Did I lose a day?! The “Fall Premiere” lineup page had me going for a few minutes. Monday, Sept 9? Isn’t today Monday, Sept 8?! I actually had to go check the calendar! Still a great site. Thanks Hulu.

  • David Davis says:

Interesting…Fringe is on Hulu, but not on the premiere list. The first showing is Sep 9th. It looks like FOX didn’t commit fully. :(

  • David Davis says:

I’m with Andy. I served my country over seas and I think the Hulu staff should look into the region/.mil issue.

Help serve those who serve us every hour of every day.

  • Anna says:

I am deaf and rely on captions. Will captions be available on this season’s Bones? All previous seasons of Bones have been closed captioned on Hulu.

Also, I LOVE Burn Notice, but why did captions stop in the middle of season 2?

    Thanks,
    A Loyal Hulu Watcher

  • Sandra says:

Thanks for the info on Bones and Life and several other favorites returning this season. I’m glad that I’ll be able to keep up with them on Hulu. I was also wondering if there is any chance of picking up a new series called Samurai Girl on ABC Family that is starting this fall? I saw a preview a few weeks ago and it looked intriguing. Either way, thanks so much for having this site available!

  • zimri says:

curious is Hulu going to premiere Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles 2nd season? Its not in your premiere listing and starts Monday Sept 8th on tv. It is not one of the favernts but i do enjoy watching it and Hulu says it coming in fall but not on the list
    please reply

  • Steve says:

    Bones????? I am waiting?

  • Zach says:

As a Bones buff like yourself, I’m wondering when it will be avaiable to watch. It *says* Thursday (today), yet it isn’t avaiable yet…

I love the service, though. Great work getting all sorts of new content!

  • James says:

I was curious as to whether Hulu will premiere Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles second season? It is not in your premiere list, and starts Monday September 8th at 8/7c on Fox.

It is one of the very few shows I enjoy watching and Hulu is uber convenient because I do not have a DVR and need to be able to pause at a moments notice.

  • Katy says:

I do not know where else to go to leave this note. I don’t want to leave it on some random movie review.

I have been having trouble with this website since the middle of the night last night (about the past 18 hours or so). I cannot get ANY video to start. It keeps telling me that “This video is unavailable right now”, but I am getting it for every video. Is this website maintenance or am I the only one having trouble? I love this website, but I’m getting very frustrated.

  • Guac says:

I’m pretty sure that it’s not that Hulu WANTS to put restrictions on their content (and thereby losing a large amount of consumers). Though comments like this will help Hulu build a case for it with the networks, I believe that sending messages like this to the networks directly, would show them how important it is for us to get our content wherever we happen to be.

  • Andy says:

Rebecca and the rest of the Hulu staff,

I was recently video chatting with a friend back in the states. He told me to check out this awesome site: Hulu.com. I was ecstatic to see that you stream so many of my favorite shows. It is hard to find them here. I am stationed in Okinawa, Japan along with 20,000 other Marines. We are US citizens sent here to defend America’s interests in the Pacific.

Unfortunately, due to region restrictions on your site I can not watch anything. Not a single solitary video. Now I’m going to loose any sleep over this issue. I’ve certainly got better things to do than sit in front of the computer watching TV shows. That said, I thought it was important that you know when you are putting “region restrictions” on your content you aren’t just keeping out foreigners. You are keeping out thousands of young Americans that you, or your elected leaders, asked to leave the country on your behalf.

Somtimes it is hard to figure out how to support the troops many simply can’t find a practical way to do it. But it seems clear to me that people at Hulu.com have a clear, simple way to support their troops:

    1. Ask users to enter their zip if their IP is overseas.
    2. If the zip code is a APO or FPO zip code check to see if the zip code matches the location of the foreign IP e.g. only someone with an Okinawa IP (61.44.49.xxx) and an Okinawa AMERICAN zip code (96386) who speaks english (the site is in english) could access your content overseas.

This isn’t the only solution to this problem. But we are your demographic and we are your soldiers and your Marines. And I, for one, would appreciate a gesture of support.

    Respectfully yours,

    Andrew Schilling
