The Fall Guy, Season 1

July 14th, 2008 by Rebecca Harper Editor

In The Fall Guy, Colt Seavers (Lee Majors) is a Hollywood stuntman by trade, but work in Tinseltown is sometimes hard to come by. Fortunately for him, there’s never a shortage of bail-jumping bad guys to hunt down, so he makes extra rent money as a bounty hunter with the help of his cousin, Howie, and a sexy stuntwoman, Jody (Heather Thomas).

Created by Glen Larson (the brains behind Knight Rider, Battlestar Galactica and Magnum, P.I.), The Fall Guy is a quintessential ’80s show, complete with fistfights, death-defying stunts and a heroic lead — not to mention a catchy theme song, sung by Majors himself. (“Well, I’m not one to kiss and tell, but I’ve been seen with Farrah…”)

Then there’s the truck. Colt’s tan and brown GMC 4×4 pickup has a 6-inch lift, 34-inch off-road tires, a roll bar and custom grille. And while it’s not the General Lee or KITT, it offers Colt everything he needs for high-speed chases and over-the-top jumps. It even has a hidden compartment — the perfect spot to stash some weapons or even a criminal.

Meanwhile, the nature of Colt’s work offers the opportunity for cameo appearances by all sorts of stars, including The Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno and Charlie’s Angels beauty Farrah Fawcett.

I really appreciate all of the recent 80’s shows that have been added. I especially love The Fall Guy. I have even gotten my almost 7 year old loving the old stuff. From the like ALF, the A team, Airwolf, The Fall Guy, The Addams Family, I Dream of Jeanie, etc.. I love it. We, still watch certain shows on TV, but I also like the more limited commercials on Hulu ( meaning I often spend more time screening commercials than actual tv shows for my child to watch i doubt I have to explain that comment to most parents – male enhancement, femine hygeine products, condoms etc)
Anyway, I am thorougly enjoying the likes of Highlander, emergency, fall guy, a-team, new amsterdam etc… I have the Highlander series on Video, Buffy and Angel on dvd but I still like this method better…
I would like to see more episodes of Emergency and then shows like Trapper John, Medical Center, Marcus Welby M.d., etc thanks for the great website.
Back to the commercial issue. I have found that the commercials on Hulu are not offensive and for the most part easy to listen to or watch. I would rather watch the few commercials on Hulu than the endless commercials that are annoying on cable.
