Super Bowl Ads

February 3rd, 2008 by Eugene Wei SVP, Audience

A 30 second commercial during this year’s Super Bowl will cost advertisers $2.7 million, on average. To watch them, share them via e-mail, or embed them on your own website won’t cost a thing. Those of you with Hulu beta access can see all of the Super Bowl ads here. Those of you who don’t have a Hulu login yet can see all the commercials on this page we’ve opened to the public.

Here are a few that stuck in our memory.

Are you planning to do this again this year? Having one place to reference all of the superbowl commercials is very helpful.

  • Richy says:

Great site…I guess….wish we could get it in Canada…

  • chayla says:

I have not been able to watch a single thing. It keeps saying Sorry, not available in your country or region.

If you’re going to tell people about Hulu, you should also tell them that it’s not available if you have a Canadian email address.

I am the owner of two domain names I believe many people would be interested in talking to me about. The domains are:

Very shortly I believe will come a software product, possibly freeware, that can tivo/dvr hulu and skip through the commercials. This is why I purchased these websites…if you know of someone working on this or who is capable of this, then we need to talk for sure! My email is iamhjs@gmail.com for anyone interested in talking about a project.

Thanks for the informative and insightful work on Hulu.

  • Office Fan says:

I don’t get it. I just went to the TV section, looked up “The Office” and there are only 9 episodes? And just season 4. What about seasons 1, 2, 3? Help me out, can someone fill me in on why just Season 4?

  • Renea says:

Every video that I’ve tried to watch has said that it was unavailable!!! I don’t understand what’s going on. And I was so hyped about this site.

  • Joe says:

Hey, just so you know, none of these videos work.

  • I loved those advertisements, especially the Coke one. Even without words it’s still entertaining.

  • shamballa says:

Hulu has a long way to go if they want to maintain any kind of fan base. The navigation is horrible and most of the fare is two or three minute clips. It’s a mess and it’s too bad because it looked promising.

Those are pretty good. But, I have to say, that I thought the commercial of the dog drinking the Gatorade was the best. There was no dialogue. I found myself intrigued but what was going to happen next. Just my thought, though. Here’s a link to it: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=27487096

the most memorable one for me was the one with Will Ferrel where he does a bunch of takes for Bud Light. The last take he says, “Bud Light. Suck one.”

While I think it is great that we can watch ads for free… when is the rest of HULU coming out of the beta closet? I was really disappointed when I couldn’t buy my favorite NBC and Sci Fi Channel shows on iTunes anymore, but now I am just getting pissed off that this hulu thing is dragging ass to get out to the public, I was spending real money on the shows, I don’t mind paying for the content, heck put the ads in too, but it seems that NBC is acting like a spoiled brat taking its ball out of the game because it can’t bully around the rest of us.

  • patrick says:

    sorry…it’s working now!

  • patrick says:

One of the videos doesn’t seem to be working on the home page of the blog…

  • Spidou says:

Why i can`t see the video, because im not in USA?. that is stupid.

  • cride says:

I have to agree. Those 3 ads were the most memorable ones for me, too. I rated them a 4/5 star on Hulu.com
